Independent Contractor Agreement

1. Your relationship to the Platform

You are an independent contractor. Your relationship to Rellim Kid Kare Konnect, LLC is that of a self-employed service provider using Rellim PayKonnect to send invoices and collect payment. Nothing in this agreement, in the Terms of Service, or in your use of the Platform creates an employment, partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship between you and Rellim Kid Kare Konnect, LLC.

2. Your relationship to the daycares

The daycares that you invoice through the Platform are your clients, not your employers. You perform work for them under the terms you and they agree on directly. The Platform does not set your rate, your schedule, your methods, or your assignments; it only helps you invoice and get paid.

Rellim Kid Kare Konnect, LLC does not screen you or vet you on behalf of daycares. Each daycare is responsible for its own hiring decisions, background checks, and supervision.

3. Taxes

You are solely responsible for reporting and paying all taxes on income you earn through the Platform, including federal and state income tax, self-employment tax, and any local taxes that apply. You are not a W-2 employee; no taxes will be withheld from your payouts.

Stripe (our payment processor) may issue you a Form 1099-K each January reflecting the total amount paid to you through the Platform in the prior tax year, in accordance with IRS reporting thresholds. You should keep your own records of every invoice you send and payment you receive.

4. Benefits and coverage

Because you are not an employee, you are not entitled to any employee benefits from Rellim Kid Kare Konnect, LLC or from the daycares you invoice through the Platform. This includes but is not limited to: health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, sick leave, workers' compensation coverage, unemployment insurance, or disability insurance.

You are responsible for obtaining any professional liability insurance, general liability insurance, bond, or license you determine you need to perform your work. We strongly recommend you carry appropriate coverage.

5. Control of your work

You choose which daycare assignments to accept and decline. You control your own hours, methods, and tools. You are free to work for other daycares, agencies, or platforms in addition to using Rellim PayKonnect. This agreement is non-exclusive.

6. Your obligations

You will perform all work in compliance with applicable state childcare licensing rules, health and safety laws, and background-check requirements. You will maintain any licenses, certifications, or CPR/first-aid credentials required for the settings in which you work.

You will invoice only for services actually rendered. Submitting false or inflated invoices is grounds for immediate account termination and may be reported to relevant authorities.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rellim Kid Kare Konnect, LLC from any claim, loss, damage, or expense (including attorney fees) arising from your work at a daycare, your misclassification claims (if any), your failure to pay taxes owed on your platform earnings, or your violation of this agreement.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for the reasons described in the Terms of Service. Termination does not extinguish your obligation to pay taxes owed on payments already received.
